Took part in: the design of a data acquisition system used in an ultrasound computerized tomography system; and the design of a system to measure blood flow that would be relevant to detecting deep vein thrombosis. I also taught independent study courses in Bioengineering. I developed and taught a course on The Physiology of Electrical Injury.

Activities In Emergency Medicine

Expert 171 has worked as an Emergency Physician for 25 years. He was an Emergency Department Director for 8 years. Expert 171 has participated in Emergency Department audits, lectures, recruiting, the planning of a new facility, ambulance service evaluation and training, cardiac arrest and other protocol revisions for nursing, infectious disease control, and hospital safety activities. Expert 171 has done legal consulting and has written or co-authored books on electrical injury, resuscitation, sexually transmitted diseases, and medical-legal issues.

Expert 171 has been involved in the teaching of Bioengineering Students, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Nurses, Medical Students, and Residents. He has taught in Advanced Trauma Life Support Courses. Additionally has taught in and has been the Course Director of Advanced Cardiac Life Support Courses.
