Facility preparedness for state, federal and JCAHO surveys by providing regular quality
improvement reviews and mock surveys
Monitor, track, trend all survey results, analyze data, develop systems to ensure improved
outcomes
Developed position descriptions for all employees for a national organization meeting state,
federal, JCAHO and ADA requirements
Provide educational opportunities to employees by developing and presenting appropriate
courses including: wound management, case management, Director of Nurses Orientation,
MDS 2.0, care planning, survey preparation and CQI
Developed and implemented an orientation program for all clinical staff currently in use
nationally to assist with recruitment, retention and education
Develop and implement new programs thereby increasing census and revenue: including
HIV, cardiac rehab., wound, ventilator, complex care
Implement Case Management systems through development and education of processes to
accurately track cost of care and assure good client outcomes
Assist with negotiation of managed care contracts to include Blue Cross, Group Health,
Pacificare, Kaiser
Assist with formulation and monitoring of contracts for professional services, supplies and
equipment; interface with vendors for quality assurance and cost benefit
Perform due diligence as needed for acquisition of new facilities and successfully transition
those properties to company procedures
Co-edited the ANA’s “Core Curriculum for Subacute Care” published Spring 1997
Ten years critical care experience, 8 years long-term, subacute and residential care Owned
and operated a supplemental nurse registry
