He has worked in the Aerospace, Nuclear, Shipbuilding, and Computer Industries. He has owned his own Consulting Engineering Firm for more than nineteen years. He has extensive experience in the areas of: Plant Layout, Material handling, Quality Control, Machine Design, Feasibility Studies, Manufacturing Cost Estimating, Construction Cost Estimating, Custom Equipment design, and Plant Relocation.

Trucks, The loading, unloading, and securing of all types of loads, including flat beds, vans, hoppers, etc. The design of the trucks and trailers themselves in regard to safety platforms, ladders, ease of loading, suitability as to the task, etc. Also, the operation of dock leveling equipment.

Heavy Equipment, Design, evaluation of owner-made modifications, proper maintenance procedures, and safe operation of heavy equipment which includes: tractors, bulldozers, graders, mobile cranes, water trucks, etc.

Overhead Cranes, Experienced in the design of overhead cranes and their related equipment such as hooks, magnetic beams, spreader bars, vacuum lifts, chains, crane certification, testing, operator training, and safe operation.

Lock-out Procedures, The procedures and practice of lock-out of equipment for the purpose of maintenance or in the case of breakdown. These procedures prevent the inadvertent operation of the machines at a time when it is dangerous to people performing maintenance.

Powered Conveyors, The design, operation, loading, and unloading of powered and gravity conveyors. These types of conveyors include: roller, chain, belt, bucket, screw, and vertical lifting.

Quality and Process Control, The design and evaluation of quality control systems and the operation of these systems. Also the design, implementation and operation of process control systems for manufacturing plants.

Product Liability, The evaluation of the above mentioned types of equipment to determine their product liability in regards to their design and manufacture.

Machine Guarding, Evaluation of machine and equipment guards in regards to OSHA requirements and general safety practices.
